Another political rally at Walter's

Was very surprised when I looked out the kitchen window to see blue and white quick shade structures set up in the lot that houses Walter's corral.  This time his owner was host to not one but two political candidates.

In the primaries held last week there were some candidates that were neck to neck and there will have to have a special election to vote for who will be the Democratic candidate for County Commissioner as well as for Justice of the Peace for Pct. 4.

This time around Walter was vanished from his corral while the event took place.  They had food, music and a Bouncing Castle for the kids.  As of 10:00 p.m. my little guy was not in his corral yet.

The good news is that per my mother, his owner was tiding up both inside and outside his area and he was fed a good meal.

I have to thank Walter

I do not like doctors and I only go to see one if I am dying.  I thought I had it bad with the flu I suffered through during December and January but nothing compares to the pain endured recently in my legs.

Just last Friday - March 7th I saw them feed Walter in the morning but no one came back to feed or water him until Monday March 10th.  Sunday he was going crazy in his corral and I knew he was hungry but there is no way I could have made it over to him let alone carry food or water with me.

It was Spring Break in Del Rio and feared those worthless owners of his had left for the weekend.  So it was my little Walter that made my mind up.  Since the doctor was in his dinner break (in Mexico people eat their main meal from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) went riding around to kill time.  It was funny that I would come across these two kids walking their horses.

This one bore a resemblance to Walter...what do you think?

New month, change of scenery

Saturday I woke up to find a change of scenery by Walter's corral.  His owner moved the fifth wheel (or is it a trailer?) he had on the lot where his house sits over to the area that he cleared.

Wish that fifth wheel/trailer could somehow cast a shadow on his corral for the coming summer months but it does not benefit him in anyway.  Only thing it does is block the view of the corral for the people coming from town like the Sheriff's patrol cars.

Found this piece of wood that had been in Walter's corral for years, now in our property.  Just looked at my prior post and it was still in his corral...bet it was that darn teenager, grrrrrr!
