Romeo and Juliet are MIA

Romeo spent two days here and he helped me out a lot.  He spent the night on December 30th and was also here on December 31st.

It struck me that he looked familiar and the more I thought about it...the more I recalled that I saw him in the lot that houses the corral and that he often was grazing too close to the road and was not tied down.

Juliet was not happy when Romeo disappeared from her sight.

Because of the sun and the cheap cellphone, I was not able to make out that her water barrel was downed.

A great little worker he was.

As you can tell he left me a LOT of fertilizer. Also, note all the prickly bushes.

On December 31st Romeo went back to Juliet so they could ring in the New Year together.  I am so sorry I did not upload these pictures until January or I would have gone and taken Juliet some water like I used to do with Walter.

I went looking for them on January 1, 2020, but neither one was at the corral nor have I seen them since.

Thank you for visiting Walter's World.

  1. Maybe their vacation ended on the new year? Could it have been a Cinderella thing where it all went away midnight?
    Lots of possibilities!

    1. I do too Rick that is why I started this blog to document the neglect the former owner of Walter and now of Juliet have put his poor animals through...unfortunately, Val Verde County Sheriff's department did not seem to share my concern...sad!

  3. I hope this is a special hell for people who neglect their animals. I hope the lovers are at a new good home.

    1. I am a firm believer in Karma...I am sure he will get his before he departs this world.

Juliet is his horse but I am not sure who is the owner of Romeo. The corral remains vacant.
