Cats do in fact have nine lives

A new cat has been roaming the house these past three weeks.  It is white and black and looks to be around 6 months old.  Every time I see him, I do not have my camera on me to take his picture.  Well, actually I have not been close enough to determine if it is a girl or a boy.

I never run off cats for as you know I have a morbid fear of snakes and rats and the two tend to go hand in hand.  If the neighborhood cats eat the rats then there is no food supply for the snakes!

Remember Waldo?  He is the cat that practically lived here until that day that his leg got caught in some sort of animal trap.  I tried to help him but he was scare and probably in a lot of pain.  Had not seen him since and for all practical purposes knew he was dead :(

Or so I thought...well on Tuesday morning there was a cat fight right by the kitchen door.  Went out to see what all the commotion was about and I will be darn if it wasn't Waldo running off the new cat!

His left hind leg looked to have had some sort of amputation but he looked fat and healthy otherwise. Again my respects to all those people that have a concealed weapon on them...I do not know how they do it...I can't even carry my camera on me half the time and it sure weighs less than a firearm!

Anyways he chased him or her out of the property and since that day I have not seen either one of them.

I am very happy Waldo is OK :-)

Claire is still at the Duck Pond

These past couple of days I have been out and about almost everyday, so I had to go by the Duck Pond. Claire is still there...on the positive side she does have grass to graze on...though not so much water.

I wanted to ask those readers that e-mail me to please do so at my new e-mail address terlinguadreams@gmail.com  as I no longer use msbelinda@hotmail.com

As far as Waldo is concerned, I don't think he made it.  I have not seen him since the last post.  I went looking for him on our property just to make sure his trap did not get hung up in the shrubs but I was not able to find him :-(

Waldo has literally been trapped :-(

A new month begins and Walter has officially been gone for 51 days and not a clue as to when if ever he will return.  Walked up to his corral and the water they set out for the mare is still there and probably breeding mosquitoes.  No sign of the kid or the father.

If you read my main blog you probably read that I almost ran over Waldo, a cat who runs around  all over the neighborhood, but has a soft spot for my mother's house and sleeping under her cars.

Last night as I was sitting in the kitchen I heard a loud noise sort of like a chain being banged around.  Figure a dog had come in through the downed fence and yelled at it but did not open the door.  This morning I heard the same noise and went outside to investigate.

It was Waldo who was dragging some sort of trap someone had set out and his little leg had gotten caught on it.  I tried to go towards him but he ran away.  Grabbed my camera and went to find him as I softly tried to reassure him that if he did not bite me...I could help him!

Went to get my gloves but he kept on hissing at me.  When I once again tried to get close he jumped the fence with that heavy thing on his foot!  You can not see it very well in the picture but it is there.  I sure hope he has a real owner and that he went home to get it removed but he had already had it for at least twelve hours.

Pacquio...the proud Papa!

After being fed twice yesterday...I pretty much knew Walter was not going to be fed this morning.  I went to check up on him since no one was home.  On my way to the corral noticed one of the stray cats was keeping a close eye on me.  I named him Waldo because he is all over the place.

I was having my morning conversation with Walter when out of the blue Pacquio leaped up on the fence and scared me half to death!  I had not seen he was inside the corral.  Lucky for me he no longer wants to attack me since the day Walter shared the water I brought for him with him.  Just then I heard a whimper and when I leaned to look into the corral this is what I saw...

Baby Pacquio
He or she is the spitting image of him and he takes good care of his offspring except for the small fact that he is already teaching him to eat Walter's poop :-(

This family needs another dog...like I need a hole in my head!

This would have been a good picture of the three of them
but it was out of focus :(

Would you believe the darn kid did not feed him tonight either?  I was watering the yard and keeping an eye on the corral.  I fed him at 9:00 p.m. and he was famished!
